The AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching Funding Programme is a three-year funding programme launched by the Hong Kong Education Bureau to support local schools in using artificial intelligence to enhance teaching and learning.The programme goes beyond simply introducing AI tools.
It encourages schools to develop a clear, sustainable, and educationally meaningful approach to integrating AI into teaching and learning.
Eligibility
Public-sector primary and secondary schools, including special schools, as well as Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) schools.
Funding
A one-off grant of approximately HK$500,000 per school.
Usage Period
2025/26 to 2027/28 school years
(Must be used by August 2028 at the latest)
