This June, EDU A.I. hosted an AI robot showcase at Kowloon True Light School (Primary Section), giving students a fun and engaging introduction to artificial intelligence and robotics.

Through live demonstrations and interactive activities, students explored how robots interact with people, how technology is already being used in everyday life, and how AI may shape the future.

The students were highly curious throughout the session, asking thoughtful questions such as:

“Will robots replace humans?”
“Can robots hurt people?”

Their questions opened up an important discussion not only about what technology can do, but also about how it should be used responsibly.

Bringing AI into Learning Through Robotics

During the showcase, students experienced a range of AI-powered robots and explored how robotics can be applied across education and everyday life.

Rather than simply learning about AI through explanation, students could see the technology in action, observe how robots respond to people, and discover how they can support different real-world tasks.

The hands-on experience helped make AI more tangible and accessible, while sparking students’ curiosity about technology and innovation.

Student Questions Open Up Conversations About Responsible AI

One of the most memorable parts of the event was the students’ questions about the future of robotics.

Questions such as “Will robots replace humans?” and “Can robots hurt people?” showed that students were already thinking beyond how the technology works to consider its wider impact on people and society.

Using age-appropriate examples, the EDU A.I. team introduced students to the current capabilities of robots and discussed how technology can be designed to support people rather than simply replace them. We also introduced the importance of safety, responsibility, and ethical considerations when developing and using AI.

Inspiring Curiosity Beyond the Classroom

The robot showcase gave students an opportunity to experience AI in a way that was interactive, practical, and connected to real life.
